Poppy Waddilove

Poppy is a London based Painter and Fashion Illustrator, having completed an Illustration BA at London College of Fashion and studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins.

From sketching live from the catwalk at Fashion Week to high profile events for hotels and companies, Poppys’ fast and fluid signature style is becoming her trademark.

Painting quickly and intensely using oil paint, graphite pencil or ink, Poppy is inspired by dream-like emotion, capturing the line and gestures of the body and creating spontaneity of movement. She is drawn to the confidence and simplicity of a line and aims to create a timeless elegance in the woman she portrays.

"From a young age I have always drawn people I observed and doodled fashion sketches from them. This led me to complete a foundation art and design course at Central Saint Martins followed by an Illustration degree at London College of Fashion. In my pieces I aim to create a timeless elegance in the women I portray. The mediums I tend to use are whatever comes to hand but most of the time I use oils, acrylics and a smudge of charcoal."

Poppy's clients are ever growing and working with the likes of interior goods companies such as William and Son and LuxDeco, and publications from VOGUE, Selfridges, Tatler, Grazia, YOU Magazine, Stylist. Poppy has also featured with institutions, The Berkeley, The Lanesborough and Dukes Hotel.
