Where are you from?
Liverpool
What is the arts community like there?
Liverpool obviously is known worldwide for its music. But the city has a great art culture. Liverpool has two great galleries, the Tate and the Walker. However, there is a great local art scene and great art stores. There is something always to look and think about
Has where you come from shaped who you are as an artist today?
Yes, there is loads of talented artists here. The industrial feel of the city has an inspiration effect on me

When did you start to think about yourself as an artist?
Very recently. I feel young in the art world.
What is something you do every day?
Drink a pot of tea
Where does your inspiration come from?
Love and nature
What is your starting point when looking at a blank canvas?
To abandon my original idea of the painting and learn to embrace where the painting wants to go
Tell us a secret about one of your works?
I have a mirror to the back of me when I paint. I occasionally do a quick turn around to look at myself. I use this quick motion to sometimes assist with the next brushstroke
What is your most treasured possession?
My two dachshunds: Pablo & Jasper
